BETHESDA, M.D., June 12, 2014— From June 9-12, Dr. Leonardo Giacchino, partner and founder of Solutions Economics LLC, led a four-day intensive course at American University’s Washington College of Law Center on International Commercial Arbitration, entitled “Damages and Compensation in International Commercial and Investment Arbitration,” with Rory Walck, partner and co-founder of Global Financial Analytics LLC, as a guest speaker on the accounting and financial aspects of arbitration. The course provided practical knowledge to understand the determination of damages and compensation in arbitration.

Dr. Giacchino, who as of June 2014 is an Adjunct Professor at American University, and Mr. Walck presented valuation topics in a practical and non-technical manner, guiding the participants through case scenarios to teach economic, financial and accounting concepts and principles in international arbitration.
